SHIVALINGAM- THE REAL MEANING

Shiva lingam
Ever questioned why  Lord Shiva got this shape?
The answer will be weird for many of you
- " it depicts the sexual intercourse between a male and a female".

The Sanskrit word Lingam has been interpreted as a symbol of male creative energy or the Phallus(Erect penis).
Similarly the Sanskrit word Yoni means Vagina.
Yoni
The photo of Yoni clearly shows that it is in the exact shape of a vagina.

Our ancestors worshiped this Lingam-Yoni sculpture because they thought Sex is the reason for the birth of a new organism and evolution.

According to Hindu mythology people believe that this lingam and yoni depicts the non-duality of
Lord Shiva and Parvathi. They believed that Shiva and Parvathi are united which creates Shakthi(Power) for running the universe.

Non-duality of shiva & parvathi

It shows that wife is other half of husband. The picture shows image of shiva and parvathi united as a single being. It symbolically represents that male and female should unite for the purpose of evolution of life.

Lingam & Yoni

Many of us doesn't know the real reason for usage of Lingam to depict Lord Shiva. Simply we goto temple and pray just like that without knowing the real meaning of it.

Theory of Continental Drift questions the existence of Lord Shiva

200 million years ago the land area in our earth was joined together as a super continent which was coined as PANGAEA. The picture shows the huge super continent Pangaea before the Continental drift.

The surface of the Earth is divided into a number of large 'slabs' of rock called Tectonic plates. These plates are not stationary but are moving very very slowly across the surface of the planet. In some places they are sliding past each other, in some places they are colliding and in others they are moving apart. This movement is known as Continental drift.

In this picture you can see the various Tectonic Plates
Which are moving in different directions as mentioned by an arrow. You can notice here that American plate moving towards west ,Africa moving towards Eurasia and Indo-Australian plate moving towards east. The places where the plates meet are regions of high volcanic activity and where the danger of earthquakes is high.

Notice the San Andreas Fault in California and the origin of the 2005 tsunami in Indonesia lie along the meeting point of two tectonic plates.

The reason for the movement of these plates is because of the movement of magma which is present inside the earth's outer crust. The picture shows the pressure of volcanic lava which makes the plates to move.

The concept of Continental drift can be clearly understood by the break up of Africa and S.America.
In the picture You can see that these two continents breaking up with each other which were once united. It will be clear that the boundary of Africa fits exactly to the boundary of S.America.

FORMATION OF HIMALAYAS:

India was once an island somewhere below in the Indian ocean. It moved upwards towards Asia because of the movement of tectonic plates and it collided with Asia. Since two land area collided with each other the land raised to huge heights which is now called as Himalayas. All other mountain ranges are formed based on this principle. Still Himalayas is growing which proves that the tectonic plates are moving further north making the mountain to grow.

QUESTIONING THE EXISTENCE OF LORD SHIVA:

According to Hindu Myth they say that this entire world, Human beings, animals everything was created by Lord Shiva. As far as i know they say that he's residing in Mt.Himalayas. This Himalayan mountain range was formed millions of years after the formation of World and living things. My question is Where was Lord Shiva before the formation of Himalayas during the Pangaea period.??????????????????????

Trip 2 Tada Falls

In train
During the boring study holidays we guys planned 2 visit Tada falls on a weekday.

Everyone started early and reached central station by 8 o clock. Train from chennai central to sulurpet departs at 8.30. We boarded the train and it took 2 hours to reach Tada station.(Ticket fare Rs.11 From central)
When we came out of station many Share auto's approached us and asked Rs750 for dropping us near the Forest gate.
But we Negotiated for Rs.25 per head and after 40mins we reached the forest gate.
(There wont be any frequent bus service to forest gate)

We got the auto driver number for calling him to pick up us after the trekking. Since there will not be any transport facility from there.
Entry fee for each person is Rs.2 and for camera its Rs.50. We haven't paid for camera since there will be no checking inside.

After entering forest gate we walked for around 45mins to reach a small hotel from where the real trekking starts. From the Bridge( which you can see in the picture) we saw lot of fishes and this is the first stream of water which we have crossed.

Towards Falls
Then we came across Mango Pool which is the 1st pool where we took bath and enjoyed a lot. I will never forget this pool because my friend went into the pool with my mobile in his pant pocket and my mobile was fully wet and it got switched off.( Next day my mob worked Nokia roxx)

Then we again started our trekking where we have to cross many water streams and huge rocks.
We came across many struggle and wounds. But we never stopped. We approached towards the falls with regular stops for taking some snaps.
Iron Bridge
After 1 hour of Trekking from that point we reached the falls. It was an awesome sight since there were no other visitors when we reached the falls. We started to take our showers and yelled a lot since we are the lone visitors. The water was freezing and we enjoyed it. There is another pool near the falls which is much more fresh and awesome than the mango pool. We spent there around 1 hour and took lots and lots of photos. Later we decided to pack up and started our return journey around 3.30. We moved fast since we have to catch the 6 o clock train from Tada to central.

We called the Auto driver for the return journey and we reached the forest gate at 5.30.  At the time auto arrived and we went quickly to station. We took some snacks near the station and got train and reached central by 8.15 and dispersed.

We'll never forget this journey and this is the most adventurous journey in my life. If anyone interested in trekking and loves nature, I bet this place would be a better choice. It will be very economical and at the same time adventurous for the trekkers.
